The suspects, identified as Peter Kile, Akanuge Samuel, and Justin Tundu, were found in possession of fiber cables believed to be government property near the House on the Rock Church Junction on Airport Road.

These arrests were made possible by the diligent work of the NSCDC FCT Command patrol team, acting on intelligence reports that criminals were posing as engineers to engage in cable-related activities with the intent of vandalizing and stealing cables. After thorough investigations, the arrested suspects, hailing from Benue State, will face prosecution for their unlawful activities.

The FCT Commandant of NSCDC, Olusola Odumosu, expressed deep concern about the extent of vandalism and infrastructure damage in the capital territory. He pledged to launch a more aggressive campaign against criminals and vandals who tarnish the image of the capital territory.

Odumosu noted the commitment to eradicating vandalism in the FCT and commended the efforts of the reactivated patrol teams, assuring that more arrests would follow in due course as part of their intensified efforts to rid the area of such criminal activities.
