The Gombe State Command of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps detained 46 individuals, consisting of 32 females and 14 males, who were apprehended at local nightclubs referred to as Gidan Gala.
The arrest was carried out following Governor Muhammadu Yahaya's order to close down all local nightclubs.
The State Commandant of the NSCDC, Mu'azu Sa'ad, shared that the suspects engaged in immoral and criminal activities at Gidan Gala and will face legal charges.
The arrests took place at various locations, including Sabon Gida BCGA, Jamiyar Gadan Gala, Gidan Wasa/Gidan Drama, and Liji along Kalshingi Road.
Usman Muhammad, the Chairman of 'Masu Gidan Gala da Wasa', pointed out that these clubhouses serve as both entertainment venues and sources of income for the girls, who often support themselves and their families through this work.
