NDLEA Arrests 84 Suspects, Seize 451,976kg Of Hard Drugs In Kaduna

According to the reports, in the course of the investigation, the command was able to secure six convictions of suspects.

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency's Kaduna State Command reports that its agents have detained 84 people and seized 451.976kg of illegal substances in Kaduna.

The arrest and the seizure were made in July, according to Mr Ibrahim Braji, the state commander of the NDLEA, who spoke with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Sunday in Kaduna.

According to the report, Braji said that in the course of the investigation, the command was able to secure six convictions of suspects.

The commander added that the drugs seized included Indian hemp, Cocaine, Methamphetamines and Tramadol as well as other Psychotropic substances.

“Grand total weight of drug seized within the period under review is 451.976kg.

According to the commander, his agents also found: 90 live ammunition; 7.62mm live bullets; and a new pump action gun registered to Jojef (23-0174).

“Within the month under review, 18 illicit drug joints have been dismantled across the state which included Kantin Agah, Hayin Dan-mani, Mando, Anguwan Dosa, Mararabar Rido, Tukur-Tukur and Sabon Gari.

Others are Palladan, Unguwar Doki, Mekera, Rigasa, Dan Daura, Karji, Ghana Road, Television, Unguwar Ma’azu,  Kudenden and Jushi.

Braji urged parents to keep a close eye on their children and make sure they know the type of friends they are associating with at any given time. He urged drug dealers to find a better way to make a living, warning that if they do not, the agency will come after them and make sure they face the full consequences.
