Muniratu Amope Grace Foundation (MAG-F), a humanitarian non-governmental organization (NGO), was launched on Sunday in Osogbo, the capital of Osun state, with the goal of improving the lives of 1,000 to 1,500 people who are less fortunate by 2023.
The group went on to say that its objective would center on putting empowerment projects into action, which will help cut down on the number of people living in poverty.
The empathetic group's founder, Mrs. Sanni Olajumoke Grace, explained in her speech at the program's launch that the foundation will also focus on the administration of scholarships and grants for students and schools, the implementation of healthcare interventions in underserved communities, and support for marginalized groups like women, girls, young adults, and the elderly.
The founder, who argued that kindness liberates humanity, urged people to treat one another with kindness in all situations so that life would be worthwhile.
Dr. Oluwatoyin Aladejana, who spoke at the event on behalf of Daytal Consult, a company that specializes in business consultations, recruitment, and entrepreneurship training, stated that the founder of the MAG foundation did not set out to maximize profits for herself; rather, she wanted to empower the less fortunate so that they could fit into any society.
According to her, “our programme design will incorporate physical and virtual interventions and will adopt a bottom-top approach hinged on appropriate need-driven orientation. The mission is also,to be leader in the not- for-profit space acting as a change agent for earthly life improvement, enhanced human welfare, and infectious compassion.”
” We also aim to create need – based solutions to challenges of indigent individuals and underserved communities to positively impact lives ànd foster sustainable development.”
While listing compassion, service, impact, charity, development, advocacy and sustainability as the N.G.O’s core values to add to humanities, Mrs. Sanni said, “kindness” is also her watchword to humanity.
She pledged to dedicate her life to being kind to all and sundry in the society saying, being kind to people could be painful but, at the end of the day, it brings joy and happiness to both the doer and the receiver.
“The foundation is being put in place to undertake projects on social – economic well- being, policy, and environmental impacts across Nigeria. it is also to meant to effectively contribute towards achieving the sustainable development goals(SDGs).
She gave hints that the Program would focus on providing interest-free loans to beneficiaries, assisting the sick in hospitals, empowering individuals so that they can also empower others, and providing loans to women for trading and preparing them to become productive in their immediate environments.
The academic scholar prayed to God Almighty to strengthen her even more so that she could impart additional values to members of society. She described the foundation founders' lives as empathetic, full of love, lace, and an inexplicable kindness and simplicity.
Dr. Aladejana, on the other hand, urged loan recipients and others who might have been empowered in some ways by the foundation to make good use of the opportunity to inspire the donor to do more for them and others in the future.
In the meantime, the foundation's founder gave some attendees valuable items like mattresses and generating sets at the event.
