Lagos Secures $1.35Bn Partnership for Bridge and Blue Line Project

The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has formalized a partnership with the African Export-Import Bank and Access Bank to provide support for long-term infrastructure projects within Lagos.

This collaboration was sealed during the Africaribbean Trade and Investment Forum 2023 held in Guyana. It places a strong focus on critical initiatives, including the Fourth Mainland Bridge, the Omu Creek Project, and the second phase of the LRMT Blue Line, spanning from Mile 2 to Okokomaiko.

Governor Sanwo-Olu pledged that his administration will continue to Improve for a brighter future in Lagos state through these transformative endeavors.

Governor Sanwo-Olu made the announcement on Tuesday via a social media platform, stating, "A momentous occasion occurred in Guyana at the Africaribbean Trade and Investment Forum 2023 as we successfully secured a partnership with the African Export-Import Bank and Access Bank, resulting in a substantial investment of $1.352 billion in Lagos."

“This investment will power our long-term infrastructure projects, demonstrating confidence from international and local partners in our growing economy.
