The Ikorodu Terminal ferry operations are temporarily suspended by the Lagos State Waterways Authority (LASWA) due to water hyacinth causing navigation issues at the Ipakodo Ferry Terminal.

LASWA issued a public notice on Friday, November 10, 2023, via its X (formerly Twitter) handle, advising passengers and ferry operators against using the Ikorodu Terminal waterways for safety reasons.

LASWA will collaborate with EQUUS to clear the water hyacinth, aiming to resume operations promptly.

During the closure, passengers are urged to use the Ibeshe Terminal and Jetty for water transportation in Lagos State. LASWA also disclosed plans to open a new jetty in the Ikorodu axis by the end of 2023.
