His remarks came during a Sallah homage visit by the Emir of Gaya, Alhaji Aliyu Ibrahim Abdulkadir, at the government house.

Various quarters have criticized the demolition exercise and other actions taken by the Governor, alleging that they are motivated by personal vendetta against the immediate past governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.

In a statement issued by his spokesperson, Hisham Habib, the Governor expressed his concern over the misuse of public property for personal gains by individuals in power. He questioned the rationale behind such actions.

Habib, in the statement, emphasized that the Governor challenges his critics to maintain records of his work and evaluate his performance at the end of his tenure. He reiterated that the government's focus is not on vendetta but rather on fostering progress and development in Kano State.

Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has given an assurance to the citizens of Kano that the revoked Hasiya Bayero Paediatric hospital will resume its operations within a fortnight. In addition to healthcare matters, Governor Yusuf expressed concern over sanitation issues in the state and reiterated the government's dedication to refuse evacuation and proper waste management. The Governor urged his cabinet members to collaborate with the council chairmen in various local governments to address critical issues related to sanitation and cleanliness.

During the visit, the Emir of Gaya conveyed that the emirate had established a robust committee on vigilance to strengthen security efforts in the region.

The commitment to restoring the Hasiya Bayero Paediatric hospital and implementing the free maternity policy reflects the government's dedication to the well-being of the people of Kano.
