EFCC Arrest 15 Suspected Internet Fraudsters in Enugu

Says the suspects will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Enugu Zonal Command have arrested 15 suspected internet fraudsters in the state.

According to EFCC in a statement on Friday, the 15 suspects were arrested on October 20, 2023 following credible intelligence on their alleged involvement in internet-related offenses.

The suspects are Casmir Ibebuogu Chizaram, Francis Mbaeri, Emegbusim Emmanuel Nnamdi, Nzube Micheal, Oranusi Chigozie Slyvester, Chinedu Nworji, Okoro Ugonna Prince, Stanley Amobi.

Others are Emegbusim Chukwuka, Ejiofor Franklin, Nlemoha Kingsley, Innocent Chukwuka Peter Chidera Peter, Chidiebube Chukwula Peter and Micheal Eche.

Also according to the statement, items recovered from the 15 victims include 30 mobile phones, one international passport and four laptops.

The anti-graft agency also said that the suspects will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.
