Sexual Offenses and Domestic Violence Court situated in Ikeja, on Tuesday, October 24, sentenced the embattled Medical Director of Optical Cancer Care Foundation, Dr Olufemi Olaleye, to double life imprisonment for defiling 16-year-old wife’s niece.
According to reports Justice Rahman Oshodi held that the prosecution proved the two-count of defilement and sexual assault by penetration against Olaleye.
The judge ruled that the evidence against the medical director was compelling and proved beyond reasonable doubts.
He said, the confessional statement of the defendant, which he made before his lawyer, Mr Olalekan Buruji and the DPO of Anthony Police Station that he regretted his act, proved that he committed the offences.
The judge said that the oral statement which the defendant denied, had the NBA seal of Buruji on it and his denial did not hold waters.
“You are a dangerous offender and you must be ashamed,” he said.
Meanwhile, a witness describes how Dr Olaleye repeatedly raped wife’s niece
During the trial, the convict’s wife, Aderemi Olaleye, told the court that her husband had been sexually abusing her niece during her stay with them.
She also testified that the convict first introduced pornography and oral sex to the victim, and he released sperm into her mouth, stating that it started from March 2020 to July 2021.
The witness narrated to Justice Oshodi that the girl confessed to a relative and their driver that the doctor had been sleeping with her and threatened to kill her and the witness if she told anyone.
The mother of two, who is the complainant, said on oath, “My lord, on November 27, 2021, my second cousin told my aunty, who is my mother’s sister, that since March 2020, Femi has been sexually abusing her and introduced her to pornography; from there, he graduated to oral sex with her, and that he does this in different places in the home where there are no cameras.”
