The National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, Dr. Ajibola Basiru, and the Special Adviser to the Osun State Governor on Legal Matters, Hashim Abioye, have clashed regarding the alleged influence of the governor's family in the state's administration.
During a meeting in Osogbo, Basiru claimed that Governor Ademola Adeleke is unduly influenced by his family, particularly his elder sister, Mrs. Dupe Adeleke-Sanni. He also criticized the increase in state allocation without noticeable improvements in government services.
In response, Abioye cautioned Basiru against disrespecting the governor's office and suggested that Basiru's statements stem from bitterness over his electoral loss. Abioye defended the governor's family, stating that Basiru's allegations were unfounded.
When asked for a reaction to Abioye's comments, Basiru simply stated, "No comment. I can't waste my precious time on incompetent people serving an ignorant government."
