Prof. Charles Soludo, the siting governor of Anambra State has commiserated with the family of the late Chinwoke Mbadinuju, the fifteenth Executive Governor of the state who died at 78.
Subsequently, in a statement signed by his Press Secretary, Christian Aburime, yesterday, Soludo recalled that late Mbadinuju was the former governor of the state from May 1999 to May 29, 2003.
Soludo noted that, the late Mbadinuju was elected governor on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). The statement reads: “Soludo, who had condoled with the family, also sympathise with the Uli Community, in Ihiala Council of the state, as well as the entire people of Anambra State for the loss.
“The late ‘Odera’ will be remembered for passing a law that created the Anambra Vigilante Services, establishing Anambra State University, Uli, among other legacy projects.”
While praying that the Almighty God grants his soul eternal rest, Soludo asked the family to ensure his legacies are sustained.
Meanwhile, Damian Ogene, the Ohanaeze Ndjamena Igbo’s acting President General, in a statement, described the former governor as a good man, who played his role in the socio-economic development of the state.
Adding that: “Death is a price everybody must pay, and you don’t know when. It is sad that Mbadinuju is dead, but I must say he was a good man, and he did a lot for the socio-economic development of Anambra Indigens.”
