Again, Nollywood loses another veteran actor, Zulu Adigwe. The news of his death surfaced on social media on Tuesday, April 23, 2024. It was made public by a movie producer, Stanley Nwoko, in a post via his Instagram handle.

Grieving over the death of the actor, Nwoko wrote, “Rest in peace, good actor.”

This is coming in the wake of late actor Junior Pope and three other Nollywood actors who passed on in a boat mishap in the Anam River two weeks ago.

It was alleged that Adigwe gained recognition primarily for playing fatherly roles in Nollywood films. His breakthrough role came as Mr. B in the famous sitcom “Basi and Company.” He also came into view in the highly successful 2019 movie “Living in Bondage: Breaking Free.”

Adigwe was born in Enugu State and spent his early years there. He later relocated to Austria, where he finished his primary and secondary education. He was one of the few Nigerians to receive first-class honours at the Theatre Arts Department of the University of Ibadan.

The causes of his death are yet to be reviewed at the time of filing this report.
