Neymar, a star player for Paris Saint-Germain, and girlfriend Bruna Biancardi have announced they are expecting a girl.
In a video they posted to Instagram, Neymar and Biancardi revealed the gender of their upcoming child: a daughter.
The pair revealed their expected first child as a couple in April.
“We were so looking forward to this moment,” Neymar wrote. “We can’t wait to meet you in person, DAUGHTER!”
But this week, Neymar apologized to his girlfriend in front of the world on social media, giving the impression that things were falling apart in their relationship.
“I made a mistake. I made a mistake with you,” Neymar wrote. “I dare say that I make mistakes every day, on and off the pitch. But I solve my mistakes in my personal life at home, in my intimacy with my family and my friends. All of this affected one of the most special people in my life. The woman I dreamed of following by my side, the mother of my child. It reached her family, which is now my family. This reached its intimacy in such a special moment as motherhood.”
Although their relationship is certain, the 31-year-old's professional future is still up in the air because PSG is willing to let him go this summer and some of the best clubs in Europe are interested in signing him.
