Nofisat Sikiru, who became a viral sensation during the #Endbadgovernance national protest for carrying an empty pot, revealed that hunger drove her to protest.

In an interview with BBC News, Nofisat shared her life struggles, explaining what led her to the streets. "I want to tell the world that I have nothing to eat, and that was why I came out to protest. I sell food at Ojota. I have done all sorts of jobs and even lost my money to thieves. I lost my child while I was in a cell on June 12th, and I’ve been stagnant ever since. This was my major reason for coming out with a pot," she said.

Nofisat expressed gratitude to those who have supported her and promised to use the funds to improve her business. "I want to thank the person that gave me money and pray he will continue to grow. I promise to put the money into my business and not on other frivolities."

She also urged the government to alleviate the hardships facing the people, as the situation has become unbearable.
