Dr. Ifeanyi Ubah, the senator representing Anambra South senatorial district, criticized the state government for hindering the security plans of the Nigerian musician Chinedu Okoli, popularly known as Flavour, to organize the funeral ceremony of his late father in Enugu State. He blamed Governor Chukwuma Soludo for obstructing his security plans for his senatorial zone.

In a press release on behalf of Ubah by his media adviser, Chuks Kamen, the Senator stated that the government’s interference halted the expansion of the comprehensive security program, which was initially successful in Nnewi and was meant to be extended to Orumba North and South, Ihiala, Aguata, Nnewi South, and Ekwusigo. This interference prioritized politics over security needs, leaving the constituents vulnerable to security menaces in areas currently under siege by non-state actors.

Dr. Ubah expressed deep regret and apologized to Mr. Chinedu Okoli, also known as Flavour, for missing the chance to celebrate his father's life in his hometown of Umunze. He acknowledged that the event could have brought significant economic benefits and tourism to Umunze, Orumba South, and Anambra South senatorial districts.

Dr. Ubah reassured that he will keep advocating for the security and well-being of his people while inspiring them to overcome obstacles
