The Tony Elumelu Foundation, on Tuesday, June6, 2023, hosted Mr. David Stevenston, Country Director, World Food Programme.
This was revealed through a LinkedIn post made by The Tony Elumelu‘s Media aide on June 7.
It reads thus: “Yesterday, the #TEFSquad hosted Mr. David Stevenson (David Stevenson), Country Director, World Food Programme (World Food Programme).
“Led by our Founder, Mr. Tony O.Elumelu CFR ( Tony O. Elumelu, C.F.R), the meeting explored partnership opportunities between both organizations to address food security and champion zero hunger across Nigeria.”
It added, “The WFP delegation also commended the Foundation for its impact in the empowerment of Young African Entrepreneurs.

Recall that Anthony Onyemaechi Elumelu CFR is a Nigerian economist, and philanthropist. He chairs Heirs Holdings, Transcorp and is the founder of The Tony Elumelu Foundation.
In 2020, Elumelu was named on Time's list of the 100 most influential people in the world.
