Teenagers Caught Stealing High-Tension Cable in Ede

Two teenagers, Jelili and Babatunde, were apprehended by the Nigeria Hunters and Forest Security Service for stealing a high-tension electricity cable in Arola village, Ede, Osun State.

They were caught in the act at around 3:30 pm in the bush. Before their arrest, the teenagers had successfully cut an electricity cable from high-tension poles in the area and were attempting to flee the scene.

The security source, who wishes to remain anonymous for security reasons, mentioned that the hunters had been monitoring the activities of the suspects for some time before finally catching them. The suspects, both 19 years old, have been handed over to the NSCDC officers for further investigation.

The spokesperson for the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps in Osun State, Kehinde Adeleke, confirmed that the suspects are in their custody, and the investigation is ongoing.
