Command CP Haruna G, the Commissioner of Police, Federal Capital Territory confirmed the arrest of Emmanuel John, a 16 year old boy alleged of killing his father.
According to the FCT police boss who spoke during a press conference at the command headquarters on 5th May, he said the incident was caused by a fight between the victim, John and his wife.
Also the CP, hinted that the suspect who was annoyed by the fight between his parents, took sides with his mother and allegedly killed the father with a mortar pestle.
He said, “It is interesting to note that one Emmanuel John, age 16 years was arrested on 2nd May, 2023 for killing his father by name Monday John. It all happened when the suspect’s mother and father engaged in a physical fight.
“The suspect took sides with his mother and used a mortal pestle and hit hard on the father’s head which eventually led to his death. The suspect will be arraigned in juvenile court at the conclusion of the investigation”.
