The Edo State Police Command has arrested 18-year-old Kingdom Paul for allegedly killing 38-year-old Victory Oro in Benin. The incident occurred at a local lodge last Thursday, where Paul and Oro had met for a paid sexual encounter.
After concluding their arrangement, an argument reportedly ensued between the two, during which Paul allegedly stabbed Oro. She was rushed to Supreme Hospital on Upper Ekenwan Road, where she later died from her injuries. Her body has been taken to the hospital mortuary for an autopsy.
Paul was among several individuals paraded by the Edo State Police Command. According to Police Spokesman SP Moses Joel Yamu, the suspect was apprehended based on information received by operatives from the Evbuotubu Division.
During questioning, Paul admitted to attacking Oro, though he claimed there was no clear reason for his violent actions, despite initially agreeing to pay her N2,000 for their encounter.
Investigations into the case are ongoing as the authorities work to uncover further details surrounding the incident.
