The Speaker, Osun State Assembly, Hon. Adewale Egbedun has stated that the Osun 8th Assembly will strive for the best interests of the people by being open and diligent.
Egbedun stated to journalists in his Osogbo on Friday that the newly inaugurated members' goal was to ensure that the state's performance is the best in its history.
He claims that the assembly is prepared to work with the executive branch of the government to ensure the success of Governor Ademola Adeleke's "five-point agenda."
Egbedun said that because he was a first-timer and a young man, some people already didn't think he could run the house. He promised to prove them wrong and do his best.
“As a young man, I have been undervalued by a lot of people, and I want to disprove them. It is an ethical weight on me to refute pundits. I will do my best because it is a privilege to be here.
"I will attempt however much as could be expected to make the eighth Gathering the best we've at any point had in this state and if conceivable, Nigeria.
"Our serious issue in Nigeria is untrustworthiness. I want to prioritize being as transparent as possible. I promise to be transparent to the state and all honorable members. I'll be available and accountable.
The 38-year-old Speaker stated that the assembly will work hard to make the eighth assembly the best the state has ever had by leveraging the energy of the majority youth membership.
