In a recent operation, Nigerian Army forces successfully neutralized three terrorists in Sambisa forest, Borno State, a known stronghold for both Boko Haram and Islamic State for West Africa Province militants.

The troops not only eliminated the insurgents but also dismantled their hideouts within the forest. Despite previous clearance efforts, terrorist activities persist in the area.

During the operation, the troops seized two AK-47 rifles and a suicide vest from the terrorists' camp. Additionally, in a separate operation in Kukawa Local Government Area, one terrorist was eliminated, and their camp was demolished.

The Nigerian Army remains steadfast in its commitment to eradicating terrorism and insurgency in the region. This dedication extends to ensuring the safety and security of the populace.

As the Muslim faithful prepare for the Ramadan period, the Defence Headquarters reassures the public of the readiness of troops nationwide to address any threats.

Meanwhile, the Department of State Services extends felicitations to Christians observing Lent and Muslims preparing for Ramadan.
