An altercation between a security guard, identified as David Isaac, and a teenager at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, Nkpor Uno in Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State, has resulted in the teenager's death. It was alleged that Isaac stabbed the yet-to-be-identified teenager.

The incident occurred within the church premises at about 8 p.m. on Tuesday. This was confirmed in a viral video that is currently circulating online, where a voice recounts how the incident occurred and also holds the church accountable for recruiting the security guard.

According to journalists who visited the church yesterday, there was a palpable silence on the premises as a few parishioners were seen moving from one destination to another.

A witness from the church, who wished to remain anonymous, informed journalists that a physical altercation ensued between the security guard, employed by the church, and the deceased. The guard allegedly stabbed the victim in the neck with a dagger, and the victim was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital after being rushed there.

The source revealed that the incident began during the security guard's routine patrol of the church premises. According to the witness, the guard observed the victim and another young woman in the church chapel in a seemingly compromising position.

The witness added, Although we were in the church auditorium when we started hearing some noise from the chapel area, when we got there, we saw the boy in a pool of blood. When interrogated, the security guard said he caught the victim having an affair with a girl inside the church chapel at about 8 p.m. on that fateful day.

“Denying the guard's accusation of intimacy, the victim became enraged, and a heated argument ensued. This quickly escalated into a physical altercation, prompting the guard to use his dagger,” the eyewitness added.
