PSC Approves Frank Mba, Bala Ciroma's Nomination As DIG

They will replace DIG John Amadi, who formerly represented the South East zone and DIG Ali Janga, who has resigned from service and represented the North East geopolitical zone respectively.

Bala Ciroma and Frank Mba have been appointed as Deputy Inspectors General of Police (DIGs) after receiving approval from the Police Service Commission.

The choice was made during the 21st plenary session of the Commission.

DIG Ciroma will replace DIG Ali Janga, who has resigned from service and represented the North East geopolitical zone in the Police management team, according to a statement released on Friday by the organization's spokesperson, Ikechukwu Ani.

In place of retired DIG John Amadi, who formerly represented the South East zone, DIG Mba will now do so.

The Commission also approved the promotion of 22 Deputy Commissioners of Police to the substantive level of Commissioners and the promotion of 14 Commissioners of Police to the next position of Assistant Inspectors General of Police.

The promotion of 24 Assistant Commissioners of Police and 39 Chief Superintendents of Police to their respective next positions was also approved by the Police Service Commission.

Dr Solomon Arase, the chairman of the commission, thanked the newly promoted officers and urged them to return the favour by renewing their commitment to serving their country.
