The ongoing #EndBadGovernance protest took a dangerous turn on Tuesday morning as angry protesters set the residence of Nazifi Sani Gumel, the member representing Gumel/Maigatari/Sule Tankarkar/Gagarawa Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, on fire.

Reports indicate that groups of enraged youths have begun moving from house to house, targeting known politicians and setting their properties ablaze.

The protesters, driven by frustration and anger over what they describe as unbearable hunger and economic hardship, hold politicians responsible for their plight.

In a video posted on X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday, youths were seen setting fire to a mansion belonging to a serving House of Representatives member, with thick plumes of smoke billowing from the building.

The situation in Jigawa State remains tense as the #EndBadGovernance protests continue to escalate, with increasing acts of violence and destruction targeting political figures and their properties. Authorities have yet to make a statement regarding the ongoing unrest.
