The Federal Capital Territory Police Command said it has initiated an investigation into the death of an unidentified woman whose body was discovered after Mpape Junction in Abuja.

SP Josephine Adeh, the public relations officer for the FCT Police, said to correspondents on Friday that the body had been removed from the Mabushi Divisional Headquarters of the command and that the identification of the woman was still being looked into.

Photos of the unidentified woman were shared on Thursday by an X user going by the handle #Arike_Jane, who noted that no identification was found on the body to contact her family.

She wrote that the young girl was found dead this morning, after Mpape junction around Abuja top bridge that connects Berger and AYA.

In response to the tweet, some people speculated that she might have been a "one chance" victim, noting the lack of identification on her.

An X user named David Offor expressed his sorrow about the passing, adding, "It's really sad." If you have to go out at night in Abuja, use caution when moving around. You can take a drop, hail a cab from a park, or make any internet reservations. One chance is real.
