A gunfight in the Dumbunrun Forest, situated between the Batsari and Jibia local government areas of Katsina State, between a rival gang led by Kachalla Dankarami and a notorious bandit boss known as "Dangote," has led to the latter's death.

Dangote died in the alleged fight that broke out between the two camps, along with his two siblings, Lama Na Balewa and Usman Yellow.

According to a reliable source who verified the incident, last weekend some foot soldiers from Kachalla Dankarami's camp stole cattle from Dangote's relatives, and Dangote was not happy about it. One of his brothers and ten other people were shot and killed as they went to retrieve the cattle; the others managed to flee with gunshot wounds.

After learning of his brother's passing, Dangote lost all composure and rallied his foot soldiers to pursue Dankarami and his boys. Tragically, however, he suffered a fatal ambush by the Dankarami boys using advanced weaponry, which ultimately claimed his life.

He proceeded by saying that although the fighting had continued all night, the Nigeria Air Force's (NAF) airstrike ended the deadly brawl between the two groups, with several bandits believed to have died and many more injured.

The Katsina State Police Command had not yet responded to inquiries on the event as of the time of this article.
