Vice President Kashim Shettima Mustapha has expressed confidence that Nigeria will become a great economic force in the world under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.

The vice president noted this at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, when he hosted a delegation from the Commonwealth Enterprise Investment Council (CWEIC) chaired by its Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Rosie Glazerbrook.

Shettima said that President Tinubu's government is dedicated to creating an unequal enabling environment for local and foreign investors to flourish.

He said this is being carried out through utilising the wealth of the country’s youth population in digital technology, enhancing electricity supply, and improving production and manufacturing, among other government initiatives

According to Shettima, the Tinubu-led administration is determined to change the country’s demographic bulge into demographic dividends.

He promised that Tinubu’s government would harness the resources of its young population to build a more flourishing and progressive nation.

The Vice President proclaimed that Nigeria is ready for business after being blessed with a pro-business leader who rose from the business ecosystem and has shown commitment to supporting the growth of businesses.

Shettima added that by 2050, Nigeria will become the third most heavily populated country globally, and only recently, an investment bank projected that by 2075, Nigeria’s economy will be the third largest in the world.

It entails that the trajectory of global growth is facing Africa, and Nigeria will make or mar that transition.

"So, the future belongs to Africa. If Nigeria works, Africa works. You have come to Nigeria at the right time—a time when a pro-business administration is at the helm of affairs in the country and we are ready for business,” says Shettima.
