President Bola Tinubu has emphasized the value of Nigerian youths, highlighting their education, reliability, and proactiveness, while also dismissing the notion that a few bad eggs should define the majority.

During the signing of seven landmark agreements between Nigeria and Qatar yesterday, following closed-door discussions with the Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani at his presidential villa in Doha, Tinubu emphasized that Nigerian youths are poised to be unleashed for the mutual benefit of both nations.

Among the seven agreements signed are a cooperation agreement in the field of education; regulation of employment of workers with the government of Qatar; establishment of a joint business council between the Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture; along with a cooperation agreement in the field of youths and sports.

The other agreements consist of cooperation in tourism and business events, and a memorandum of understanding focused on combating drug trafficking.

The documents were signed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yusuf Tuggar, and relevant officials in the Government of the State of Qatar, including Buthaina Bint Ali Al Jabr Al Nuaimi, Minister of Education and Higher Education, and others

President Tinubu, before the signing ceremony, assured his host of Nigeria’s preparedness to welcome investors into the country, emphasizing the ongoing reforms that promote innovation, return on investments, and multiculturalism.

He also praised the Qatari government for its developmental achievements, noting, "We have observed the swift pace and meticulous quality of Qatar's development process." It is impossible not to feel moved by your accomplishments. We are here to gain deeper insight as the country's leadership has proven its mettle.”

While acknowledging some short-term turbulence in Nigeria, the President emphasized the representation of the dynamism and talent of the Nigerian people in the current government.

He also mentioned that his administration is implementing the correct solutions and the team collaborates with each other, as well as its partners.
