The Niger State Police Command has apprehended four ex-convicts for orchestrating a robbery at a residence in Minna, where valuables worth millions of naira were stolen.

The suspects, identified as Yahaya Mohammed, Ayuba Simon, Menasse Makama, and Nuhu Azuka, were taken into custody after confessing to their involvement in the crime during interrogation.

Wasiu Abiodun, the command's spokesperson, revealed that the arrests were made following a complaint from a concerned resident in the Brighter area of Minna. The suspects allegedly invaded the residence, robbed the victim, and made away with a Honda Odyssey vehicle and various other valuables.

Upon receiving the complaint, police operatives from the Crack Squad swiftly launched an investigation, aided by technical intelligence and community information, leading to the apprehension of the notorious suspects.

During interrogation, the suspects not only confessed to the recent robbery but also admitted to previous instances of thuggery and armed robberies for which they had served jail terms.

Abiodun further disclosed that the confessions of the suspects facilitated the recovery of the stolen Honda Odyssey vehicle and other valuables.

As investigations continue, the suspects will be charged in court to face the consequences of their criminal actions.
