A tragic incident unfolded at a residence in Iba New Site around 11:00 p.m., leading to the death of a man following an altercation with his elder brother, Ayodeji Busari.
According to a report filed at the Iba Police Station, the deceased had travelled from Port Harcourt, Rivers State, to visit a friend in Lagos. However, during the visit, he became involved in a heated argument with his brother. During the confrontation, Busari allegedly pushed his younger brother, causing him to fall and hit his head on a pavement. The impact rendered the victim unconscious.
The injured man was rushed to Igando General Hospital, where medical personnel confirmed him dead on arrival. Photographs of the deceased were taken at the hospital, and his body was subsequently transferred to the Mainland General Hospital mortuary in Yaba for an autopsy.
Police officers have visited the scene of the incident, and Ayodeji Busari has been taken into custody. The case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) in Yaba for further investigation.
