Gombe Governor Gifts Bulls and Rice to Corps Members

Gombe State Governor Muhammadu Yahaya made a significant contribution on Thursday by donating food items to corps members participating in the 2024 Batch ‘C’ Stream I orientation course at the Amada temporary orientation camp in Akko Local Government Area.

The donation included three bulls, 30 bags of rice, 10 jerricans each of palm and vegetable oil, 10 bags of sugar, eight bags of beans, and five cartons of Maggi cubes. This initiative was described as a demonstration of the governor's commitment to supporting the development and well-being of young Nigerians.

Joshua Danmalam, Information Officer in the Office of the Secretary to the State Government, stated that this gesture would positively impact the corps members' lives, allowing them to concentrate on their national service.

He emphasized that the governor's support for the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program reflects his administration's priorities of youth development and empowerment.

Chinwe Nwachuku, the State Coordinator, expressed her heartfelt gratitude during the donation ceremony, highlighting the governor's generosity and its role in creating a supportive environment for corps members to thrive and contribute meaningfully to the state.
