

Femi Gbajabiamila, a former speaker of the House of Representatives, has resigned from the 10th House.
According to sources, Gbajabiamila submitted his letter of resignation on the floor of the house on Wednesday, and Tajudeen Abbas, the new speaker, read it.
Gbajabiamila is anticipated to commence his new position as President Bola Tinubu's chief of staff today (Wednesday), following his resignation.
Recall that on Tuesday, the former Speaker and his colleagues were sworn in.
Following Gbajabiamila's resignation as Speaker of the House, a new election will be held by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to fill the position.
