The Federal Road Safety Corps has established over 200 mobile courts to prosecute traffic offenders during the Easter special patrol operations nationwide.

In a statement on Wednesday, Corps Public Education Officer, Jonas Agwu mentioned that the mobile courts were established to ensure a safe and smooth 2024 Easter celebration.

The Corps Marshal, Dauda Biu, was quoted as urging commanding officers to ensure full deployment of staff for maximum visibility.

In line with the operational guidelines of the 2024 special patrol scheduled to begin from March 29 to April 2, Biu urged them to guarantee the prompt removal of obstructions on all highways across the country.

He stated that the main objectives of the special operations are to decrease the number of road traffic accidents, fatalities, and injuries.

The Corps Marshal, Federal Road Safety Corps, Dauda Ali Biu, emphasized the importance of Commanding Officers ensuring full deployment of staff for maximum visibility, prompt removal of obstructions, and ease of movement on all highways throughout the country.

Agwu further mentioned that for this purpose, the corps would conduct aggressive enforcement, including over 200 mobile court operations, to check various offenses.

The corps stated that for the Easter special patrol across the country, they deployed over 743 patrol vehicles, 184 administrative vehicles, and 92 ambulances.
