A fire broke out at the Josien Factory Warehouse in Abule Osun, Lagos, on Friday, resulting in significant damage to goods valued at millions of naira.
The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) reported the incident, emphasizing that no injuries or fatalities occurred as the warehouse was unoccupied at the time.
LASEMA's Permanent Secretary, Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, stated that the agency received a distress call at 8:28 AM and promptly dispatched its Dolphin Response Team from the Igando Base. Upon arrival, responders found the warehouse engulfed in flames, with items such as diapers, solar batteries, foreign charcoal, and massaging seats stored inside.
The cause of the fire remains undetermined, as the warehouse was locked when the incident occurred. However, LASEMA activated safety measures to protect responders during the operation.
