The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has accused Governor Ademola Adeleke of fabricating security concerns in the state.

Governor Adeleke had issued a statement on Tuesday alleging the discovery of plans by criminals to disrupt rural activities, particularly targeting farmers and schools.

In response, the Osun APC Chairman, Tajudeen Lawal, criticized the governor's actions, denouncing them as an attempt to create a false narrative of insecurity.

Lawal expressed disappointment that Governor Adeleke, despite having adequate security infrastructure at his disposal, resorted to spreading unsubstantiated fear among the populace.

He criticized the governor for prioritizing political grandstanding over genuine governance, accusing him of neglecting critical issues such as agriculture development.

The APC chairman questioned the governor's sincerity, urging him to focus on delivering the quality governance promised during his election campaign.

Lawal dismissed the security alert as a tactic to divert attention from the government's alleged failures, particularly its handling of infrastructure projects.

He challenged Governor Adeleke to take concrete actions against the alleged criminals if the security threat was genuine, emphasizing the importance of proactive governance rather than manipulative tactics.

Lawal warned the public to remain vigilant against potential government-sponsored security threats aimed at justifying the administration's agenda.

He reaffirmed the APC's skepticism towards the government's claims of a security threat, and urged the governor to address the detected irregularities in infrastructure projects and prioritize the welfare of the people over political posturing.
