Paul Chukwuma, the immediate past National Auditor of the leading All Progressives Congress, has promised to unseat the incumbent Anambra State governor, Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo, supposing the APC gives him the state governorship election ticket in 2025.

Chukwuma, who is also known as one of the party’s founding fathers in Anambra, pledged to elevate the party far above any other political party in the state and the South-East geopolitical zone.

He announced on Wednesday in his hometown of Umueri, Anambra East Local Government Area, in a meeting with party officials from across Anambra State. The meeting included party chairmen from all 326 wards, chairmen from each of the 21 local governments, zonal representatives from the three senatorial districts, and members of the state working committee.

According to journalists, the meeting was chaired by Chief Basil Ejidike, the state party chairman, during which Chukwuma declared his interest in contesting for the Anambra governorship seat currently occupied by Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo of the All Progressives Grand Alliance.

Chukwuma affirmed that besides organising regular seminars and interactive meetings at all levels of the party leadership, he also disclosed his dedication to giving the APC an overwhelming support base, financial backing, unrivalled motivation, and confidence amidst political parties.

He stated that all these efforts were to ensure that no other party in Anambra State would stand before the APC's victory in the fast-approaching 2025 governorship election.

He, however, used the occasion to make public the donation of a brand new state secretariat as well as three zonal offices and grassroots offices in the 326 electoral wards of Anambra State.
