The wife of the governor of Anambra State's, Dr. Nonye Soludo, set off on a heartwarming journey to the state's welfare institutions and orphanages. Her goal is to bring happiness to the impoverished people and children who live in these facilities by spreading the Christmas spirit.

Dr. Soludo visited several establishments, including St. Martin's Community Children/Welfare Home in Igboukwu, Blessed-Nise Community Children's Home in Nise, Model Community Children's Home in Ifite-Awka, God's Care School for Special Needs, and Faith Community Children's Home in Awka, motivated by a deep sense of compassion and a desire to show love to those often forgotten by society.

Dr. Soludo emphasized the importance of helping the less fortunate during the Christmas season when she spoke at St. Martin's, her first stop. She said that if love and charity are not practiced, Christmas loses its genuine meaning.

“This visit is incredibly important to me,” she expressed. “Christmas is about celebrating with those less fortunate and bringing joy to their lives. I want to encourage everyone to extend a hand of compassion and kindness to those around them who are less fortunate. I believe humanity will be better when everyone feels loved and protected.”

Dr. Soludo pledged to visit welfare homes and children's homes in Anambra before Christmas, whether they were owned by the government, a commercial company, or a mission. She expressed her sincere appreciation to the caregivers for their steadfast love, commitment, and selflessness in raising the kids.

Bishop of the Diocese of Ekwulobia, Most Rev. Peter Cardinal Okpaleke, found great resonance with her proposal. He beseeched everyone who had a giving spirit to help the less fortunate and orphans. He emphasized the potential negative consequences of neglecting or not providing for these kids and issued a warning against it.

Cardinal Okpaleke expressed his profound gratitude to the governor's wife for being an exemplary leader who exemplifies the genuine meaning of kindness.
