The Nkwoachara autonomous community in Abia State urges Governor Alex Otti to formally recognise their chosen king, His Royal Highness, Eze Okechukwu Nwaubani, by granting him the staff of office.

This was made public by the people of the community at a meeting held in Umunkaru Alaike in Umuahia North Local Government Area, emphasising that they have been in political and economic darkness for a long time and are willing to pull out of that situation now that they have seen the light.

High Chief Prince Chinweotito Iteogu, a community leader, praised HRH Nwaubani, the king-to-be, for his generosity and dedication to the community. He described HRH Nwaubani as a kind man who understands the importance of improving infrastructure and education.

As an example, Chief Iteogu mentioned a time when he, as chairman of the Parents' Teachers' Association at Orieamaenyi Secondary School, requested help buying a mower. Impressively, HRH Nwaubani not only provided one mower but three and even offered to support the school's youth corps members financially.

He added, "He gave us three mowers and promised to pay N5,000 each to five youth corps members serving at the school for the duration they will serve in the school. This gesture shows his nature, and that is what we want as a people".

Witness testimonies corroborated Prince Iteogu's claims. People like Monday Ogwuru, Richard Adams, Paul Chikwendu, and Okechukwu Ukaeru echoed his statements and urged the royal father to extend his support towards empowering young people in the community. This empowerment, they said, would contribute to reducing crime in society.

They pledged their total loyalty, assured to stand by him at all times, noting, “We will stand by you through thick and thin and will follow you to wherever you are called."
