A recent report by newsmen noted that the Abia State Commissioner for Science and Technology, Mr. Chima Oriaku, and Commissioner for Agriculture, Prof. Monica Ironkwe, were not sacked but resigned their appointments with the state government.
The spokesperson to Governor Alex Otti, Mr. Ukoha Njoku, disclosed that Governor Otti appreciated the two commissioners for their service and dedication and wished them well in their future endeavours.
He said, The following cabinet members of the Abia State Government have presented their resignation letters to the Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti. They are: Prof. Monica Ironkwe, Commissioner for Agriculture, and Mr. Chima Oriaku, Commissioner for Science and Technology, ‘The Executive Governor appreciated them for their service and sacrifice to the state and wished them well in their future endeavours.”
