A 10-year-old boy, identified only as Israel, has tragically strangled his friend, Ezekiel, during a football game in the Powerline area of Ejigbo, Lagos State.
A police source revealed that the incident occurred on Friday, prompting a report to the Ejigbo Division. Ezekiel was rushed to the hospital but was pronounced dead upon arrival by the attending doctor.
Authorities dispatched a team of detectives to the scene, where they documented the situation and transported Ezekiel's body to the General Hospital in Isolo for confirmation of death.
Confirming the incident, the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, stated that the body has been taken to the mortuary for post-mortem examination, while the suspect remains in police custody pending further investigation.
