Controversial crossdresser Idris Okuneye, widely known as Bobrisky, is currently detained at the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) Annex in Alagbon, Lagos State.

Reports confirm that he spent the night in a female cell, a decision made due to his high-profile status and the nature of his lifestyle.

Sources indicate that Okuneye was arrested by officials from the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) while attempting to leave the country through the Seme border.

He was brought to the FCID around 10 p.m. on Monday after being detained overnight following his initial arrest on Sunday. The police opted for a female cell because there were no female detainees present, ensuring both safety and security for Okuneye.

Mayegun Aminat, spokesperson for the FCID, confirmed his detention, stating that they are seeking a remand to keep him in custody. Efforts to reach Okuneye for comments have been unsuccessful, as he has not responded to calls or messages.

The NIS has labeled Okuneye a "person of interest" amid ongoing investigations related to public concerns about his activities.

Kenneth Udo, spokesperson for the NIS, stated that Okuneye is undergoing interrogation and will be handed over to appropriate authorities for further action.
