A Decade of Excellence: Unveiling the Glamorous AMVCA Experience.

The Africa Magic Viewers' Choice Awards (AMVCA) is an event organized by MultiChoice to celebrate excellence in film and TV productions across Nollywood and Africa. This year's edition took place at the Eko Hotel and Suites in Lagos State, and marks the 10th anniversary, making it a special event.

The 2024 AMVCA events started on Friday with the Cultural Day event, which officially launched the series of activities leading up to the Award Night on Saturday, May 11, 2024. The award night was hosted by Ikponmwosa Osakioduwa, a Nigerian radio and TV on-air personality.

During the award ceremony, winners from various categories are announced, including both industry-voted and audience-voted categories. This recognition is considered prestigious from both peers and fans.

The Award Night was broadcast live on all Africa Magic channels (DStv and GOtv), respectively. Africa Magic in association with MultiChoice organized this year's edition of the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards, with Amstel as the headline sponsor and tactical sponsors Pepsi, Promasidor, and Martell. Other sponsors include Hypo, TECNO, Interswitch, Tiger Beer, MTN, Supa Komando, Indomie, and Nivea.

The AMVCA is known for its red carpet with stunning outfits and an after-party known for dazzling after-party fashion. Alongside the awards themselves, the red carpet at the AMVCAs has become a major fashion event. Celebrities from Nigeria and across Africa use the AMVCA red carpet to showcase their most glamorous looks. We see a wide range of fashion on display, from elegant gowns and suits to bold and daring outfits that pay homage to African culture
