Social media personality Bobrisky, was forcibly removed from an Amsterdam-bound KLM flight late Thursday night by immigration officials at Murtala Mohammed International Airport in Lagos.

Eyewitnesses reported that the incident occurred just before take-off, drawing attention from other passengers as officials detained the controversial celebrity.

In a post on Instagram following his removal, Bobrisky claimed he sustained injuries during the altercation with the officers and accused the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) of orchestrating his detention.

He appealed for help, stating, “Nigerians help me, EFCC just arrested me. I’m badly injured”.

This latest incident follows a series of legal troubles for Bobrisky, which began on October 22 when he was intercepted at the Sème border while allegedly attempting to flee Nigeria.

His legal issues date back to April 2024, when he was sentenced to six months in prison for naira abuse by a Federal High Court in Lagos. Although initially held at Kirikiri Prison, reports suggest he was moved after three weeks under controversial circumstances involving a ₦15 million bribe.

The situation escalated further in late September when media influencer VeryDarkMan leaked an audio recording in which Bobrisky allegedly claimed that music artist Falz and his father, human rights lawyer Femi Falana, sought ₦10 million to secure him a presidential pardon.

The Falanas subsequently demanded a public apology and retraction of these statements, which they labelled defamatory. Bobrisky denied making the claims and suggested that the Falanas direct their concerns towards VeryDarkMan instead.
