I'll Focus More on my Education - Miss Adestshina Quits Pageantry
The first runner-up at the recent Miss Universe pageant, Ms. Chidimma Adetshina, has disclosed her next steps, emphasizing personal growth and career development.
According to an interview with BBC Pidgin, Adeshina announced that she plans to take a break from pageantry to focus on her education and upcoming careers in modelling and acting.
“I want to ignore pageantry for now and focus more on my education and finding out who Chidimma is,” she asserted.
“I want to explore more into runway modeling, acting, and examining many other areas.
There are numerous things I would like to try and see where my power can take me.”
She overcame several challenges during her journey to the Miss Universe stage.
Adetshina faced backlash over her nationality during her participation in the Miss South Africa pageant, which led to her withdrawal.
It was gathered that she was born to a Nigerian father and a Mozambican mother.
Addressing the dispute, Chidimma Adetshina advised her fans that she would share details once she had a full comprehension of the situation.
“People are really interested in the story. And like I said, I haven’t gone home yet, I haven’t heard anything, and I haven’t sat down with a lawyer or anything. So I can’t just talk about things,” she uttered.
“Once I get everything sorted out, I will definitely open up and give people clarity on the matter.”
