Nigerian R&B artist Bankole Wellington, popularly known as Banky W, has announced his relocation to the United States with his family.
The Popular R&B artist made this announcement after he made it known that he is embarking on a new academic journey to pursue a Master’s degree in Policy Management at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.
Banky W shared the news via his Instagram account, posting a heartfelt message alongside a photo of himself, his wife, actress Adesua Etomi-Wellington, and their child at the airport.
He expressed gratitude and requested well-wishes from his followers as they transition into this new phase of their lives. In his post, he emphasized the significance of family and personal growth, stating, “For family. For finding purpose. For the next year of earning a Master’s degree in Policy Management at Georgetown University in Washington DC. Wish us well.”
The 43-year-old musician has a notable background; he was born in the United States and married Adesua in 2017.
Banky W has previously made attempts to enter politics, contesting for the Eti-Osa Federal Constituency in Lagos State on multiple occasions without success.
In response to his announcement, Adesua expressed her support through a comment on his post, stating, “Home is wherever you are.”
