Netflix is set to produce a docuseries produced by Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson which will focus on serious allegations against Sean “Diddy” Combs, including charges of sex trafficking, racketeering, and sexual assault.

The project will be directed by Alexandria Stapleton and it is currently in production to explore a complex narrative that spans several decades.

In a joint statement to Variety, Jackson and Stapleton emphasized the importance of the story, noting its significant human impact.

They stated, “This is a story with significant human impact. It is a complex narrative spanning decades, not just the headlines or clips seen so far.”

They also expressed their commitment to amplifying the voices of those who have been marginalized and stressed that while the allegations are serious, they do not define the entirety of hip-hop culture to ensure that individual actions do not overshadow the broader contributions of the culture.

50 Cent announced the production in December 2023, shortly after multiple women, including his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura, filed lawsuits against Combs.

Combs settled with Ventura soon after her lawsuit became public. The docuseries will also address claims made by other plaintiffs who allege various forms of abuse and misconduct by Combs. Notably, 50 Cent has pledged that proceeds from the documentary will support victims of sexual assault.

Recently, Combs was arrested in New York on multiple charges related to sex trafficking and racketeering.

He has pleaded not guilty and remains in custody after being denied bail at his appeal hearing. The allegations against him have led to numerous lawsuits from various individuals claiming abusive behaviour.
