UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer is set to convene an emergency response meeting on Monday after a series of far-right riots that erupted across England over the weekend.

This unrest was triggered by the tragic murder of three young girls in Southport last week, which has then sparked widespread outrage and protests.

The meeting also known as a Cobra meeting, will include key ministers and police officials to strategize on how to address the escalating violence that began in Southport and has led to hundreds of arrests.

The violence has been characterized by clashes between anti-immigration demonstrators and law enforcement, as well as confrontations with Muslim counter-protesters in various locations.

Starmer has publicly condemned the actions of the far-right protesters, warning that they will "regret" their involvement in what has been described as the worst rioting in the UK in over a decade.

Home Secretary Yvette Cooper echoed this sentiment, stating that "there will be a reckoning" for those involved.

The unrest has been largely attributed to groups associated with the English Defence League, an organization known for its anti-Islam stance and links to football hooliganism.

Other disturbances were reported in other towns, including Bolton and Middlesbrough where rioters engaged in property damage which prompted the arrest of 43 individuals.
