It was reported that the President of ICC is also seeking the arrest of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
A notice in the Russian Interior Ministry's database identified the individual as "Hofmanski Piotr Jozef, Polish," and indicated that he was wanted under an article of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. However, specific details regarding the allegations against Hofmanski were not provided by the ministry.
Earlier in March, the ICC, based in The Hague, issued an arrest warrant for President Putin on charges of war crimes related to the alleged unlawful deportation of Ukrainian children. Additionally, the ICC issued a warrant against Maria Lvova-Belova, Russia's presidential commissioner for children's rights, on similar charges.
Russia had previously issued arrest warrants for ICC prosecutor Karim Khan and several judges. It's worth noting that Russia is not a member of the ICC and has consistently asserted that the warrant against President Putin is "void."
In September, the ICC established a field office in Ukraine as part of its efforts to hold Russian forces accountable for their actions during Moscow's offensive in the Western-backed country.
