Osun State and its Governor, Sen. Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, garnered significant praise at the 124th National Black Business Conference, held from August 21st to 25th, 2024, at the Hilton Atlanta Hotel in Downtown Atlanta, USA. The state's representation, led by Honourable Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Rev. Bunmi Jenyo, utilized the global platform to showcase Osun's economic potential and announce the upcoming Industrial Investment Summit.

The conference, which featured over 3,000 attendees from around the globe and was headlined by the 26th President of Liberia, Joseph Nyumah Boakai, provided a robust forum for discussing economic development. During the event, Rev. Jenyo highlighted the Governor's ambitious industrialization efforts and their alignment with Osun State’s economic and industrial goals.

“With the lofty initiatives of the government under Sen. Dr. Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, we are on the right track towards economic and industrial development, promising prosperity for our citizens and investors from around the world,” Rev. Jenyo said.

Emphasizing the importance of the diaspora, Rev. Jenyo noted, “Our Diaspora represents a pathway to maximize our economic greatness. By leveraging the capabilities of the Diaspora in key sectors such as Agriculture, Technology, Health, Education, Tourism, Mining, Manufacturing, and Renewable Energy, we can drive substantial progress across the continent and beyond.”

The Commissioner also detailed plans for the forthcoming Industrial Investment Summit, designed to unite investors, industry leaders, experts, government officials, and entrepreneurs. This summit aims to explore opportunities across Osun State’s key sectors: Agriculture, Mining, ICT, Commerce, and Tourism.

Notable attendees included AU Ambassador to the USA, H.E. Amb. Hilda Suka-Mafudze; Nigerian Member of the House of Representatives in Georgia, Congressman Segun Adeyinka; Miss Hafsat Abiola, and other distinguished black business leaders. Their participation underscored the conference's global significance and the growing recognition of Osun State's investment potential.
