Veteran Actress, Ngozi Ezeonu Stresses Professionalism at Audition

Famous Nollywood actress Ngozi Ezeonu was seen addressing two ladies who attended an audition where she was a judge in a video circulating on social media.

Ezeonu queried the ladies about their decision to participate in the audition without wearing a bra.

She stressed that such attitude contributes to the perception that actors and actresses are “unserious” professionals.

The veteran actress cautioned that she would disqualify anyone who appears at an audition she oversees without proper clothings, especially wearing a bra.

She said, “Any other day I am on any audition table, and anybody comes in dressed like this, I will disqualify that person. How can you come to an audition ground without a bra?” 

“Who are you trying to impress? That is why people see us as people who are not serious. I am a serious-minded actor; you cannot see me dressed like this.”

Ezeonu is a former journalist known for her portrayal of archetypal matriarchs in Nollywood movies.

She started off her career as a journalist before venturing into acting.

The prominent film maker has featured in more than 150 films.

She is notable for her portrayal of archetypal mothers in Nollywood movies.

In 2012, she starred in Adesuwa, a role that earned her the Best Supporting Actress nomination at the 8th Africa Movie Academy Awards.
